Pippa Holland

Pippa Holland is a mental health nurse consultant who is employed by Health New Zealand at Te Toka Tumai, Auckland Mental Health Services. Her nurse consultant role is a leadership position where she has been invovled in the strategic planning and implementation of their version of Zero Suicide, entitled Te Tira Tumanako - 'Towards Hope', which has been adapted through lived experience and family input, to meet the specific cultural context of Auckland, New Zealand. Pippa is passionate about acute mental health nursing, specifically suicide prevention, and supporting the nursing and allied health workforce to carryout this work in a manner that is evidence based where staff feel confident and well supported. In 2023, Pippa obtained a Masters of Nursing at the University of Auckland where she completed a research portfolio which utilised a appreciative enquiry mythology to ask secondary mental health clinicians for their perspective on effective suicide prevention.
