This workshop brings together policy-makers, researchers and people with lived experience of suicide to consider how our different roles each contribute to suicide prevention. Interactive discussions will surface how researchers and people with lived experience of suicide can more effectively inform policy, as well as how policy makers can better harness the insights from researchers and people with lived experience of suicide. This collaborative workshop and will be co-hosted by LIFEWAYS, National Suicide Prevention Office, Suicide Prevention Australia, and Roses in the Ocean.

This half-day workshop will seek to share learnings from the University of Hong Kong's Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention community development initiatives. Professor Paul Yip will provide an opportunity to learn from and explore the development and outcomes of community-based suicide intervention education in Hong Kong and mainland China. The opportunities provided by the launch of the new LivingWorks Connect platform, ASIST version 12 and safeTALK version 3 will be discussed, along with International examples of the development of Networks of Safety using a continuum of skills and safety connections.
