Victoria McArthur National Suicide Prevention Conference 2026

Victoria McArthur

Victoria McArthur is a strategic leader and coalition-builder who works with industries to turn complex social issues into practical, shared solutions. As founding chief executive of OnTrack and having launched MATES in Construction in New Zealand, she has learned the value of patient, industry-led change. She is most at home empowering people to lead, walking alongside the grassroots and backing them to shape their own outcomes. Her work sits at the intersection of strategy and delivery. She helps boards find clarity of purpose, translates research into useful practice, and grows peer-led capability at scale. Using co-design and lived-experience partnership, she aims to create psychologically safe spaces where people can speak honestly, and improvement can take root. Victoria’s practice is grounded in evidence and accountability, including partnerships with universities for independent evaluation, psychosocial risk management aligned with good practice, and straightforward use of data to guide effort and investment. A practical communicator and facilitator, she supports teams, mentors emerging leaders, and brings diverse voices together to solve problems. Her aim is steady and simple: help people and organisations move from awareness to collective action, so more of our people stay safe, connected and able to thrive.
