Daisy Winney

Daisy is the Lived Experience Training Manager at batyr, a preventative youth mental health organisation working to increase young people’s mental health literacy, reduce stigma and improve mental health outcomes. In her role, Daisy supports young people across Australia to safely build the skills and confidence to share their lived and living experiences of mental ill-health. batyr’s Lived Experience training program, “Being Herd”, ensures young people are equipped to share their story in a safe and engaging way, leading to increased confidence, reduced self-stigma, and enhanced advocacy skills. Having spent over 2.5 years at batyr across both the Programs and Lived Experience teams, Daisy brings a deep understanding of youth mental health, training, and collaboration. Her work centres on creating safe and accessible pathways for young people to use their voices to strengthen help-seeking behaviours amongst others and the systems designed to support young people.
