LewChing Yip National Suicide Prevention Conference 2026

LewChing Yip

Lewching's perspectives and expertise are grounded in her lived and living experiences as a queer woman of colour who navigated family violence as a newly arrived migrant in Australia at 19 years old, without systemic support. Lewching advocates for safer futures by focusing on the impacts of intergenerational trauma on family systems, mental health, and suicidal distress. With 7 years of experience partnering with state and national not-for-profits and governments, Lewching drives organisational governance, strategy, peer workforce development, and co-design with an intersectional, cultural lens. Outside her systemic advocacy, Lewching brings frontline experience with cross-sector experience in early intervention mental health, student wellbeing, youth homelessness, suicide prevention, and DFSV.
