Ram RS Sivan
Acharya Ram Sivan (ordained as Srirama Ramanuja Achari), has practiced as a Hindu Priest and teacher of Yoga-Vedanta philosophy for over 50 years, including in USA, South Africa, Bali and Australia.
Acharya underwent many years of formal study in Yoga-Vedanta philosophy, Logic, Hermeneutics, Sanskrit and Astrology, as well as specialising in the sacraments and rituals. He studied in the traditional gurukula system in highly respected centres of Traditional learning in Rishikesh, Benares, and Chennai.
Acharya Sivan is one of the founding members and the current President of the Australian Council of Hindu Clergy. He has also tutored other priests, and is the published author of several books on Hinduism and has a very active website for the propagation of Hinduism.
The acharya is also a Registered Nurse and has been involved in training in cultural awareness around Death and Dying. He has featured numerous times on radio and television in Australia discussing and commenting on various aspects of Hinduism and his opinion is much valued.
