Samuel ST Tuil

Rev. Samuel Khot Majok Tuil was born in South Sudan and spent much of his childhood in a refugee camp in Northern Kenya. In 2007, he was resettled in Australia through the Humanitarian Program. He later studied theology at Moore Theological College in Sydney and was ordained into ministry. Samuel now serves as Assistant Minister at Oakhurst Anglican Church in Western Sydney and as a chaplain with Anglicare Sydney Diocese. Throughout his ministry, he has been deeply committed to both his local congregation and the wider South Sudanese community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a vital role in offering pastoral care and practical support to vulnerable families. He has also partnered with Anglican Aid to support development and mission projects in South Sudan and beyond. Samuel holds a Bachelor of Theology and is currently completing postgraduate studies in both Counselling and Mental Health. He is the founder of Light Along My Path (LAMP), a registered charity in Australia and South Sudan, dedicated to education, leadership, family support, and mental health awareness. He is also the author of two books: Light Among the Nations and When Home Is Far Away.
