Gabrielle Hicks
Gabrielle Hicks is the Suicide Prevention Coordinator – APAC at LivingWorks, where she leads the implementation of evidence-based suicide prevention training across diverse sectors and communities throughout the region. With a background in law, Gabrielle brings a strong systems, governance, and implementation lens to suicide prevention, translating research and evidence into practical action at scale.
Her work sits at the intersection of mental health, technology, law, medicine, and social justice, with a particular focus on digital solutions that strengthen systems of care and improve access to support. Gabrielle is deeply committed to advancing evidence-based practice, health equity, and systemic reform, and to ensuring suicide prevention efforts are inclusive, sustainable, and grounded in lived realities.
Through training, advocacy, and multi-sector collaboration, Gabrielle works to equip professionals and communities with the skills, confidence, and compassion to take effective action. She is also an active member of the City of Melbourne Homelessness Advisory Committee, contributing to cross-sector initiatives that address suicide risk among people experiencing vulnerability and social exclusion.
