This full-day Suicide Prevention Policy Roundtable brings together policy-makers, researchers and people with lived experience to consider how research evidence and lived experience can more effectively inform policy, and how policy makers can better harness the insights from researchers and people with lived experience. This collaborative workshop and will be co-hosted by LIFEWAYS, National Suicide Prevention Office, Suicide Prevention Australia, and Roses in Ocean.

This workshop is free to attend, however delegates cannot attend both a paid workshop and the policy roundtable.

Presenters: Prof Paul Yip, Carmen Lai, Wendy So and Shayne Connell 

This half-day workshop will seek to share learnings from the University of Hong Kong's Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention community development initiatives. Professor Paul Yip will provide an opportunity to learn from and explore the development and outcomes of community-based suicide intervention education in Hong Kong and mainland China. The opportunities provided by the launch of the new LivingWorks Connect platform, ASIST version 12 and safeTALK version 3 will be discussed, along with International examples of the development of Networks of Safety using a continuum of skills and safety connections.
